We offer a range of high quality year-long and one-day courses, delivered by outstanding practitioners with a track record of working effectively with schools. Evaluations of our courses consistently rate them as excellent with those attending praising the knowledge of the presenters and the friendly, practical presentation style. Every course gives delegates practical ideas to take away and use the next day in school. Our year-long programmes also include in-school support sessions for team teaching, planning and reflection.
As well as the courses we currently offer directly ourselves we also have a wide range of other one day courses that we deliver for partners. Each of the NPQs is also available as are ITP and OTP courses.
Being part of the University of Wolverhampton we are in the position where many of our courses can be used as a start point for accreditation at masters level. Taking an idea from a course, implementing it in school and reflecting on the impact is a great basis for an independent study module.
Developing Outstanding Classroom Support
This revised programme builds on 5 years of highly regarded CPD for teaching assistants (100% good or better). Across the two days the range of skills demonstrated in outstanding classroom support are explored. The first day centres on how these skills, and subject specific pedagogy, are applied in English lessons and the second day focuses on mathematics lessons.
