Maximising achievement in Y6 SATs (Walsall)
The facilitators of this course have a proven track record of helping schools improve outcomes in SATS by being forensic about the teaching approaches used in Year 6.
Rather than lots of testing, which leads to stressed teachers and stressed pupils, approaches that carefully sequence learning and focus on good teaching and learning activities will form the basis of this course. Year 6 teachers will be supported to reflect on their current approach and consider a wide range of techniques to sharpen up children’s preparation for the GPS, reading and maths tests.
The facilitators will share the strategies that they have found the most successful in improving outcomes, both at ARE and at GD and will give delegates loads of ideas to take away. Delegates will also have the opportunity to create a SATs preparation plan that prioritises teaching content and applies the new techniques explored as well as share their experiences with others.
A practical enjoyable day with great ideas to boost SATs results!
