Over many years we have worked with thousands of pupils to enrich the curriculum through a series of experience days. Each of these events is specifically designed for us and caters for pupils from Year 5 to Year 8, giving them high quality learning experiences beyond the classroom. Specific skills are developed at each event, whether they be focussed on the arts, maths, science, sports or history. All events encourage collaboration, reasoning and problem solving. These events are only available for schools to book.
We are currently offering events with a number of partners, including Jaguar Land Rover, ThinkTank Museum, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Blakesley Hall Museum and the University of Wolverhampton. Depending on the nature of the event the maximum size of a group is between 20 and 40 pupils. This is often made up of small groups from a number of different schools and gives pupils an opportunity to learn in exciting ways with others that they have not previously met.
During this inspiring session at Thinktank pupils will extract their own DNA from their cheek cells and precipitate it so that they can see it! They will be able to take it home to remind them of their day learning about the function of DNA and what goes on in our bodies at a microscopic level. The day will include a visit to the amazing planetarium to see the cells based show, time in the laboratory and a visit to ..Book Here
